Tourism Fiji is the Government agency responsible for marketing and promoting Fiji to the rest of the world as a visitor destination for the long term and sustainable benefit of the country. With Fiji’s borders closed due to the Global Pandemic, Tourism Fiji are working on getting ready for when borders do reopen. With this in mind, a number of key communications projects are ongoing across the business.
Tourism Fiji require an individual with experience in writing for an international audience, in dealing with international and local media and working with Government stakeholders here in Fiji. The position will be responsible for planning and developing communication materials with the Director of Marketing. These should deliver maximum publicity and awareness of Tourism Fiji’s programs, services and activities with Government, industry and across the media in Fiji. Furthermore, they will translate activities here in Fiji, into briefing documents for Tourism Fiji’s international offices.
Expressions of interest are invited from individuals who can provide freelance communications services to Tourism Fiji. Candidates should be available to work from Tourism Fiji’s office at least one day a week and should have capacity to commit 3 days work per week from the period of May 2021 – October 2021. This may be extended depending on circumstances.
